STEM Service-Learning Fellows Individual and Campus Grant Program
Florida Campus Compact (FL|CC) is inviting individual and small teams of faculty members to submit proposals to become FL|CC
STEM Service-Learning Faculty Fellows (STEM Fellows). All Fellows will participate in a series of online and in-person workshops to assist in
retooling or creating a new course that promotes service-learning in the Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) disciplines or a
STEM-related community-based project that is tied to curricular outcomes. All STEM Fellows will receive between $400-$1000 in addition to free
professional development and technical assistance on incorporating engaged scholarship into their work.
To begin the process of becoming a STEM Fellow:
Participate in a Day Institute and an advanced level service-learning workshop approved by FL|CC
– OR –
Participate in a Day Institute and complete two of FL|CC's online modules on service-learning curriculum integration, assessment,
research, and community partnerships (available in Spring 2011)
The 2011–2012 FL|CC Day Institutes will take place between September 2011 – April 2012.
