STEM Day Institute Request for Proposal
Florida Campus Compact (FL|CC) is inviting member institutions to submit proposals to host a 1-2 day institute that will advance engaged
scholarship at the host institution and throughout the state of Florida. The proposed institute should be designed around a Science, Technology,
Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) theme. The event will be open to participants from around the state and will be part of a series of
FL|CC Day Institutes taking place between September 2011 and April 2012.
One of the main goals of these institutes is to provide high-quality training workshops and presentations for faculty, administrators, students,
and/or community partners on course-based and co-curricular service-learning, community-based research, assessment/research of the outcomes of
campus-community based activities, community partnerships, student leadership development, institutionalization of engaged scholarship, and other
related topics.
